CENTER OF DEVELOPMENT IN THE MEDITERRANEAN (CDM)

The Center of Development in the Mediterranean (C.D.M.) is a Greek N.G.O. founded in February 2002 in Athens as a non-profit corporation. It has an extensive list of collaborating experts on the fields of development, civil society, environment and disaster management. CDM is on the list of NGOs certified by the Hellenic Aid Directorate of the Greek Foreign Ministry.

Its objectives are:
a)The undertaking of activities and the providing of services for the economic, social, and cultural development and cooperation among the developing countries in the Mediterranean.
b) The implementation of programs facilitating the cooperation among the countries of the Mediterranean territory on various fields, as well as the undertaking of programs for the improvement of the living standard of the citizens of the areas in the Mediterranean.
c) The cooperation with corporate vehicles for the promotion of cooperation programs concerning issues such as social care, education, occupational training and environmental protection.
d) The cooperation with relative legal entities for the implementation of programs among the countries of the Mediterranean territory with subject the prohibited groups from the labor market, the 3rd generation and the youth generation.
e) The cooperation with any other corporate vehicle for the fulfillment of the above aims.
f) The provision of services using new technologies (multimedia, internet) in order to accomplish the above aims.
